Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Roadly, a driving licence translation service operated from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.
1. The service
Roadly produces a private translation of a valid national driving licence, modelled on the format defined by the United Nations road traffic conventions of 1949 and 1968. The translated booklet is referred to throughout the site as an International Driving Permit (IDP). It is not a government-issued document and must be carried alongside the original national licence.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must hold a valid, non-expired national driving licence.
- The licence and supporting documents you upload must be authentic and your own.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and clear, legible photos of your documents.
- Carry the original national licence at all times when driving.
- Comply with the road and traffic laws of the country you are visiting.
4. Pricing & payment
Prices are displayed in US dollars and exclusive of VAT where indicated. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. Roadly does not store full card numbers.
5. Intellectual property
All branding, copy, illustrations and software on this site are the property of Roadly FZ-LLC. You may not reproduce, redistribute or resell our materials without written permission.
6. Limitation of liability
Roadly is not liable for refusal of service by a foreign authority or rental company, or for fines or penalties incurred while driving abroad. Maximum liability under any circumstance is limited to the amount you paid for your order.
7. Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. We will date-stamp the latest version. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

Legal disclaimer
Roadly produces a private translation of a valid national driving licence. It is not a government-issued document and does not, by itself, grant the right to drive.
1. What this document is
The booklet and wallet card we provide translate your licence into 12 languages, in a format consistent with the United Nations road traffic conventions of 1949 and 1968. It is recognised by most international car rental companies and many traffic authorities outside your home country.
2. What it is not
- It is not a driving licence in itself.
- It is not issued by any government, embassy, ministry or official body.
- It does not extend, modify or replace your national licence.
3. Where it may not be recognised
Some jurisdictions require their own local permit or translation. Our translation is not a guarantee of acceptance and may not be recognised in Japan, South Korea, North Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan or Vietnam.
4. Your responsibility
You remain responsible for verifying that an IDP is the correct document for your destination and for carrying your original national licence whenever you drive abroad.
5. Brand independence
Roadly is independent of the United Nations, AIT, FIA and any government body. References to those organisations describe the format and conventions our translation follows; they do not imply endorsement.
